App overview
The Metroberry Employee app is your daily commute companion. Your company manages routes and schedules; you book rides, track your driver in real time, and get notified when it's time to leave.
- Book — request a commute to or from the office
- Home — live map with your active trip and SOS button

First-time sign in
- Download the Metroberry Employee app from your app store
- Open the app and swipe through the welcome screens
- Tap Sign In and enter the phone number your employer registered
- Enter your password or tap Use OTP for a one-time code
- Allow location permissions when prompted — needed for live tracking and SOS
Tip
If your phone number isn't recognised, ask your HR or transport coordinator to add you to the company roster first.
Booking a commute
- Tap the Book tab at the bottom of the screen
- Choose direction: To Office or From Office
- Select the date and preferred pickup time
- Pick your route from the list of company-approved routes
- Review the details and tap Confirm Booking
Note
Some companies require manager approval before a booking is confirmed. You'll receive a notification when it's approved or if changes are needed.
Once confirmed, the trip appears in your Schedule tab and on Home when it's active.
Tracking your ride
When your trip is assigned and the driver is en route, the Home tab shows a live map with your vehicle's position, driver details, and estimated arrival time.
- Open Home to see the map and trip card at the bottom
- Tap the trip card to expand driver name, vehicle plate, and ETA
- Watch the map update in real time as your driver approaches
- You'll get push notifications for key events: driver assigned, arriving, trip started
Tip
Keep location services enabled and the app in the background for the most accurate ETA.
Boarding pass
Some routes use a digital boarding pass for check-in. Open it from your active trip to show the QR code to your driver.
- From Home or Schedule, tap your active trip
- Tap View Boarding Pass
- Show the QR code on your screen when boarding the vehicle
Your schedule
The Schedule tab lists all upcoming rides — date, time, route, and status (pending, approved, assigned, completed).
- Tap any trip to see full details and a map preview
- Completed trips move to the History tab automatically
- Cancelled trips show a strikethrough with the reason if provided
Emergency SOS
Important
Use SOS only in genuine emergencies. It immediately alerts Metroberry operations and shares your live GPS location.
- On the Home tab, tap the red SOS button
- Confirm the alert — your location is sent instantly
- Stay on the line if operations calls you back
- If safe, also call emergency services (999 or 112)
Profile & settings
From the More tab you can update your profile, change your password, and manage notifications.
- Edit Profile — update your name and contact details
- Change Password — set a new password anytime
- Notifications — view trip updates and company announcements

Common questions
How do I get a ride?
Rides are booked through the Book tab or scheduled by your company. Check Schedule for upcoming trips.
Can I change my pickup point?
Contact your transport coordinator or Metroberry support — pickup points are tied to approved routes.
My driver hasn't arrived
Check Home for live ETA. If the driver is significantly late, use Help & Support to reach our team.
I'm not receiving notifications
Go to your phone Settings → Metroberry Employee → Notifications and ensure alerts are enabled.
